There is no verified evidence that Selena Gomez and Robert Davis have a documented romantic, family, or established professional relationship. As of October 2, 2026, reliable public records and reputable entertainment sources do not identify a Robert Davis as Gomez’s partner, relative, regular collaborator, manager, or business associate.
The search term appears to create confusion because Robert Davis is a common name attached to several different people, including a musician and an online writer. Some of those names appear near Selena Gomez-related material on the web, but proximity in search results is not evidence that Gomez personally knows or works with that individual.
Selena Gomez and Robert Davis: What the Evidence Shows
The most useful way to understand the keyword is to separate verified information from possible search-result associations.
| Question | What reliable evidence shows |
|---|---|
| Are Selena Gomez and Robert Davis dating? | No credible evidence supports this |
| Are they married? | No. Gomez is married to music producer Benny Blanco |
| Are they related? | No documented family relationship has been found |
| Have they worked together directly? | No established direct collaboration was identified |
| Why do their names appear together online? | Several different people named Robert Davis appear in entertainment and web-publishing records |
| Is “Robert Davis” one clearly identifiable person in this search? | No. The name is ambiguous |
This distinction matters because celebrity searches can easily combine unrelated people when one name is common.
Who Is Selena Gomez?
Selena Gomez is an American singer, actor, producer, entrepreneur, and founder of Rare Beauty. She was born on July 22 in Grand Prairie, Texas, according to the Television Academy’s official profile.
Her television career began well before her adult music and acting success, but she became particularly associated with Disney Channel through Wizards of Waverly Place. In more recent years, one of her central acting roles has been Mabel Mora in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.
The Television Academy lists Gomez not only as a performer on the series but also as an executive producer. She received an Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series nomination for playing Mabel, while Only Murders in the Building has repeatedly been nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series with Gomez among its executive producers.
Hulu’s current press materials continue to list Selena Gomez alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short as the principal cast of Only Murders in the Building. The Season 6 information also identifies Gomez as an executive producer.
Her Business Career
Gomez is also the founder of Rare Beauty. The company’s official website explicitly identifies her as its founder and describes the brand’s mission as challenging unrealistic standards of perfection while supporting self-acceptance.
That matters when investigating supposed connections because Gomez now operates across entertainment, television production, music, beauty, and philanthropy. Someone appearing in one of these industries is not automatically a business partner or collaborator.
Who Is Robert Davis?
This is the central problem with the keyword. There is no single Robert Davis who can automatically be assumed to be the person connected with Selena Gomez.
The name belongs to many people in entertainment and other industries. At least two different web trails can cause confusion in searches involving Gomez.
Robert Davis the Musician
One identifiable Robert Davis in the music business is a guitarist associated with Revis and later Animal Waves.
A 2018 profile published by the Carbondale Times reported that Davis moved to California with Revis in 2001 and later spent approximately three years working with Lauryn Hill. The article also discussed his work with Animal Waves.
An interview listing from Thunder Underground similarly identifies Robert Davis as a member of Animal Waves and discusses his earlier work with Revis, Lauryn Hill and other musicians.
Those credentials establish that this Robert Davis has worked professionally in music. They do not, however, establish a direct professional relationship with Selena Gomez.
A Robert Davis Byline on a Selena Gomez Article
Another possible reason the two names become associated in search results is much simpler.
An article about Selena Gomez’s television earnings published by EatAndGeek carries the byline Robert Davis. The page discusses Gomez’s television career, including Wizards of Waverly Place and Only Murders in the Building.
Being the author of an internet article about a celebrity does not mean the writer has a personal or professional connection with that celebrity. There is also insufficient identifying information on that page to assume its Robert Davis is the same Robert Davis associated with Revis or Animal Waves.
This is an important example of why names in search results should not be merged without evidence.

Is There a Music Connection Between Selena Gomez and Robert Davis?
No confirmed direct recording, songwriting, touring, or production collaboration between Selena Gomez and the identifiable Animal Waves/Revis musician Robert Davis was found in the reliable sources reviewed for this article.
There is, however, an unusual indirect overlap.
Singer-songwriter Billy Wilson said in a VoyageLA interview that an earlier musical duo he formed gained attention after Selena Gomez tweeted one of their videos. Wilson later said he recorded three singles with Robert Davis, whom the interview identified through his associations with Animal Waves and Lauryn Hill.
The chain is therefore:
Selena Gomez → supported or shared Billy Wilson’s earlier work → Billy Wilson later worked with Robert Davis.
That is an entertainment-industry overlap, not evidence that Selena Gomez and Robert Davis worked together.
It would be inaccurate to turn this sequence into a collaboration between Gomez and Davis.
What About the Justin Bieber Connection?
Another search trail deserves caution.
A Justin Bieber fan-maintained wiki lists a Robert Davis among the writers of a track titled Show You Off. The page also claims that producer Mally Mall once described the song as being about Selena Gomez.
That information should not be treated as proof of a Selena Gomez-Robert Davis relationship. The accessible source is a fan wiki rather than an authoritative Selena Gomez, Bieber, label, or songwriter source, and Gomez herself is not presented as a writer or performer on the track.
At most, it represents another reason search engines could place the names within the same broad entertainment context.
Were Selena Gomez and Robert Davis Ever in a Relationship?
There is no reliable reporting establishing a romantic relationship between Selena Gomez and anyone publicly identified simply as Robert Davis.
This is especially clear when compared with Gomez’s documented relationship with producer Benny Blanco.
Gomez and Blanco became publicly known as a couple before announcing their engagement in December 2024. They married in Santa Barbara, California, on September 27, 2025. Vogue reported the marriage immediately after the ceremony, while more recent coverage documented their first wedding anniversary in September 2026.
Therefore, claims that Robert Davis is Gomez’s current husband or partner conflict with well-documented public information.
Are Selena Gomez and Robert Davis Related?
There is no credible evidence showing that Selena Gomez and Robert Davis are relatives.
Nothing in the authoritative Gomez sources reviewed for this article identifies a Robert Davis as her father, sibling, spouse or other publicly documented close family member.
Because Davis is a widespread surname and Robert is a common first name, an isolated result containing both names is particularly weak evidence of a family relationship.
Why Searches for Unrelated Celebrities and People Can Become Confusing
Search engines retrieve documents based partly on words, names, contextual relationships and references appearing on the same pages. They do not guarantee that two names entered together represent an actual relationship.
Several mechanisms can create misleading associations:
An article about Selena Gomez can be written by someone named Robert Davis. A musician called Robert Davis can work with an artist who was previously noticed by Gomez. Another Robert Davis can appear in a music database, social profile or entertainment credit containing Gomez-related terms.
None of those situations independently proves that the two people met.
This problem becomes particularly important with common names. Before identifying a celebrity connection, reliable research should establish exactly which Robert Davis is being discussed and then look for evidence such as official credits, interviews, company records, photographs from documented events, representative statements or reporting from established publications.
What Can Actually Be Verified?
The verified picture is considerably simpler than some search results may suggest.
Selena Gomez is currently an active actor, executive producer and entrepreneur. Hulu continues to list her as a star and executive producer of Only Murders in the Building, while Rare Beauty identifies her as its founder.
She has also been married to Benny Blanco since September 27, 2025. Their first anniversary was publicly documented in September 2026.
Meanwhile, a musician named Robert Davis has documented credits and associations with Revis, Animal Waves and Lauryn Hill, while a separate or unidentified Robert Davis has an online writing byline on a Selena Gomez article.
What has not been established is a substantive direct relationship between Selena Gomez and Robert Davis.
